Corinne Lissoos
Entrepreneur Corinne Lissoos, President of Solemates Inc., distributor of NAOT Footwear, Canada has changed the lives of more than one million Canadians since her company was launched 20 years ago.

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Corinne’s first encounter with NAOT footwear was in Israel four years earlier. After moving back to Canada, she began selling NAOT shoes out of the garage of her Toronto home and the window of two local health food stores.  Sales grew steadily and through hard work and dedication. Since 1992 Corinne has launched stores in Toronto and Montreal and Calgary which are dedicated to the Naot Brand.

Currently NAOT footwear is manufactured in Israel and sold Canada –wide,in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, the Maritimes and the Northwest Territories. Part of what makes the NAOT line unique is the opportunity for distributors to provide valuable feedback on styles and colours as part of the NAOT design team’s shared creativity process.

While extremely dedicated to her work, Corinne supports a number of child-based charitable causes, including The Salvation Army, The Hospital For Sick Children and Toronto’s Daily Bread Food Bank, Colon Cancer Canada and the Koby Mandell Foundation. The latest project involves planting a tree in Canada on behalf of every customer who purchases a pair of Naot’s new eco-line appearing in Fall, 2009.

Natasha Lissoos
A certified kinesiologist and mother of three little girls, Natasha Lissoos, transfers and contributes her unique expertise, skills and education to her current position as General Manager at Solemates Inc. – the role she has held for the past 3 years.

Her specific in-depth understanding of biomechanics, the body's position and movement, makes her an expert when it comes to explaining why footwear choices are so critical - especially for those who spend a great deal of time on their feet, like young mothers chasing after toddlers and pregnant women with temporary limitations in their capacity to move freely.

Any anatomical changes in the feet can affect the wellbeing of the entire body and Natasha firmly believes that subtle but numerous imbalances that lie behind physical, mental and emotional problems can often be traced back to uncomfortable footwear. Because many of the “rivers of energy” or meridians in the body begin and end with the feet, wearing comfortable footwear is key to general good health. Essentially, a sound body equals a sound mind – and vice versa.

Natasha graduated from York University with her degree in kinesiology and worked in several clinics including the Toronto Centre for Sports Medicine before joining the Solemates team. She was also a practicing personal trainer until 2005 with a certification from the Canadian Personal Trainers Network. She continues to privately practice acupuncture and craniosacral therapy.  She believes in and enjoys the special interconnectedness with all her vocations.
