Dr. Robert Titzer’s Story

Recognized early learning expert,  Dr. Robert Titzer, has a grand vision of making the world a  better place by allowing children greater opportunities and successes throughout life by developing early reading skills.

Robert C. Titzer, Ph.D., an educator and researcher in the field of infant learning and father of two daughters, currently lives in San Diego County in California. After earning his teaching credentials from San Diego State University, he taught in the public schools on Guam and in California. Titzer completed a master of science degree from The Pennsylvania State University and a Ph.D. in Human Performance from Indiana University, where he worked in infant  development laboratories conducting theoretically important experiments related to infant  learning. Titzer has conducted research in laboratories around the country and he has taught at several universities.

Dr. Titzer has become a recognizable expert in the area of infant learning and his work has been published in scientific journals -- including the prestigious Psychological Review. Titzer has given talks about early learning on four continents speaking with thousands of parents around the world. He demonstrates fun learning activities that parents can do with infants and toddlers to stimulate brain development. Dr. Titzer has appeared on thousands of TV programs and networks including SKY TV, Good Morning America, The CBS Early Show, Channel 5 (in the United Kingdom), UTV (in Northern Ireland), The David and Kim Show (in Australia), Canada AM, A Current Affair (in Australia), CNN, MSNBC, Headline News, The Discovery Channel, CBS This Morning, ABC World News Now, Knowledge TV, Real TV, Parenting Principles (on PBS), EXTRA, and The Learning Channel. Titzer has spoken with US Senators and other government officials about the importance of early learning. Dr. Titzer created the Your Baby Can Read! program as well as the Your Baby Can Learn! books. Ann is a member of the National Advisory Board for Invest in Kids' The Parenting Project and she serves on the Board of Directors of the Peterborough Victoria and Haliburton YWCA.

When 8-years old Kavita jumped in the pool to save her cousin, her journey as a First Aider began and her future revealed itself.  As a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor, Kavita's philosophy was "think prevention and be prepared".

Now as an Authorized Canadian Red Cross First Aid Instructor, Certified Kinesiologist and Certified Car Seat Technician, Kavita passionately trains parents, health care professionals and companies become confident first aid rescuers and helps them create safer homes and workplaces!   Her diverse expertise allows her to deliver an informative, credible and enriching workshop.

Since 1992, Kavita (with her company, 2HEALTH) has inspired thousands of participants in workshops, classes and conferences to be prevention-focused and better prepared in a first aid emergency.  Kavita's contagious enthusiasm for children's safety and her interactive teaching style makes her approachable and likeable to her participants.  Her trademark question is: "In an emergency, will you be calm and rescue someone effectively in 60 seconds?
